Initially and before starting to tell them all the interesting stories that I have for you all, I am going to introduce myself.

Hi! My name is Yoimer Cassiany Acosta, I am 21 years old and I was born in an amazing village called Fundación (my FundaYork, I will write about my land in another post) it is located in the Caribbean region in the north of Colombia. I come from a big family, I have four siblings and I am the fourth one: no doubt that having many siblings have been the best things that has ever happened to me. From them, I have learned too much…and of course, I remember many of the funny stories of what was my childhood next to them. What about my parents? Well, my dad is a mechanic. He is a man who has learned to get ahead in life I believe if there is a person to which I owe everything I am, it is him and my mom, who is the woman of my dreams: Words are not enough to describe her. They live in the village and as far as my own is concerned I am living in Santa Marta-Magdalena at the moment because of my studies. By the way, I am a civil engineer student and about 3 months ago I returned from Portugal after a semester full of many experiences and during which I had the opportunity to travel a little around Europe.

On the other hand, I came to Santa Marta when I was had 17 years old, not just with the intention of becoming in a professional, but also with a desire of making all my dreams come true: One of them, travel through the world. I remember perfectly my childhood, I was a little chubby boy like any other, the only that made me different was the way I saw the world, you will wonder. Why does he say that? Well, I remember one day while I watched the news on TV and it was a new about the U.S.A, the journalist was speaking about political topics but I was not interested in anything that he was saying. I was just focused on the panoramic of the place from which he was reporting, I cannot decribe all what I felt on that moment and so, I immediately imagined how awesome it would be to visit places like that. Yeah! I knew it had to be an incredible experience and I was willing to live it.

I had to start planning if I really wanted to make my dreams come true. It is important to note that at this point it happend, I was around 12 years old and it was the main reason why, at first, I did not know what to do, so I had to find a way to get what I wanted, I knew I could not be a common guy because I had chosen to build the path to my dreams; simply, I chose dream. I have always seen in education, the opportunity to develop personally and professionally as well as an excellent way to achieve goals in life, I also consider that a very good attitude is essential for everything: in fact if I ask me about something I do all the time, my answer will be; Smile! No doubt you will notice in all the photos I will be sharing with each and every one of you, I believe it is a fundamental aspect of life.

Now you know a little about me. I will start to share you, stories and memmories of my life in Europe for 5 months, how I travelled and did to visit some countries, this accompained by some tips I used during my travels. I will be clear, everything you find here will be according to my personal experience.
